UPDATE: Snow Emergency to be Cancelled Sunday, February 16th at 12:00PM
Due to the changes in today's forecast, the City of Monroe is cancelling the Snow Emergency
EFFECTIVE AT NOON TODAY, February 16th, 2025.
To prepare for the significantly colder temperatures this week, it’s important to clear as many streets as possible of last night’s snow. Residents are encouraged to move their cars off the streets whenever possible until plowing is complete from curb to curb.

Snow Emergency Declared for Sunday, February 16th at 12:01AM
Due to the impending snow event, the City of Monroe has declared a Snow Emergency beginning Sunday, February 16th, 2025, @ 12:01 AM.
Residents are asked not to park along major routes, relocating their vehicles to other neighboring streets until these routes have been cleared (please see link below). This allows us to better serve you in providing efficient plowing services. This allows the Department of Public Services to provide more efficient plowing services. Those not in compliance may be subject to ticketing or towing.

Please Note: Refuse and recycling containers should NOT be placed in the roadway during the duration of the Snow Emergency. Additionally, for the safety of all, please do not let children play on the mounds of snow near the roadways. It is difficult for snowplow operators to see children.
The Snow Emergency will end once it stops snowing and the snow emergency routes are cleared from curb to curb. Notification will be sent via the City’s website, social media account, smartphone app, and
MCANS (the Monroe County Alert Notification System) when the Snow Emergency has been lifted.
